Privacy policy

We collect as little as we can get away with, we don't sell any of it, and if you want it deleted we'll delete it. That's the short version. The detail follows — in plain English, because a privacy policy you can't read isn't much of a promise.

Who we are

Workworthy is run by 12 Foot Giant (ABN 42 675 096 107), an Australian business. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act and its Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

• Your email address — only if you give it to us. The one place we ask is the "know the moment new numbers land" form. We store the address and which page you signed up from. That's it.
• Anonymous usage analytics. When analytics is switched on, we use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to see which pages get read and which don't — page views, clicks, rough location by region, and browser type. We don't build profiles of anonymous visitors, and we can't tie this data back to your name because we never asked for your name.
• Standard server logs. Like nearly every website, our servers keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, page requested) so we can keep the site running and spot abuse.

Why we collect it

The email list exists for exactly one thing: to send you one email when Jobs and Skills Australia publishes the 2026 Occupation Shortage List. The analytics exists so we can tell which pages are actually useful to families and which need work. Neither is used for anything else.

What we don't do

• We don't sell, rent, or swap your personal information. Ever.
• We don't send marketing you didn't ask for.
• We don't run third-party advertising or ad trackers on this site.

Where your data lives

Email addresses are stored in our own database on our hosting provider's infrastructure. Analytics data is held by PostHog on servers in the European Union. In both cases access is limited to the people who run this site.

Deleting your data

Want off the list, or want to know what we hold about you? Ask, and we'll sort it — usually within a few days. Contact us at [contact email — to be confirmed before launch] and we'll confirm once it's done.

If this policy changes

If we ever collect more than what's listed here — say, if we add accounts or new tools — we'll update this page first and change the date at the top. No quiet edits.
